Uniq formed in 1999 with the mission of providing business customers with a knowledgeable, friendly, reliable and cost effective IT support service.
Uniq we aim to provide a truly proactive service, the core principle of our business is maintaining close personal contacts with our clients and we all work hard to constantly improve that service and what we can offer to our clients. Developing our relationships and identifying individual client needs has enabled us to generate all of our business by referral.
The Uniq team has over 30 years of experience in managing our client’s expectations, any IT service provider is defined by attention to detail and the provision of a first class service and at Uniq we work hard to always exceed the expectations of our customers.
Ian Walton - Director
Ian is the owner and director at Uniq having set the company up in a time before he had grey hair. Ian is still here pushing his team of staff to provide a first class computer support service and managing the implementation projects for our customers.
When not working Ian loves to cook, especially outside. Despite trying hard to develop a culinary repertoire he always cooks the same three dishes.
Fact: Ian has no resistance to the hot sandwiches served in the café across the road.
Katie Walton - Accounts Director
Katie is the co-owner of Uniq and after an early career in credit control and vowing never to do that job again she now manages the accounts. She's also responsible for keeping the boys in the office in line.
When not demanding money from our clients Katie volunteers for Girl Guiding and the village community association.
Fact: Katie wants to be a princess.
Luke Kavanagh - Helpdesk Support Technician
Luke joined Uniq in 2018 and is the relaxed friendly voice helping our customers. He is a fountain of IT and security knowledge and really can talk the hind legs off a donkey. Luke also manages the implementation of our security systems protecting our customers from everything the internet throws at them. Away from work Luke's gaming and binge watching Game of Thrones.
Fact: Luke doesn't mind mess, which is frustrating for Jared.
Jared Long - Helpdesk Team Lead
Jared joined Uniq in 2017 and when not drinking Espresso shots he manages the support team and makes sure all our management systems and servers are kept updated and working at peak efficiency. Outside of the office you may find Jared swapping Espresso for red wine.
Fact: Jared doesn't like mess and keeps the office spotless.
